Oh the craziness, getting ready to move to DC

Goodby Ohio, hello DC! The maddness begins. Only 3 days left til the Movers show up at our doorstep. A short trip to Hawaii and a visit to family has given a nice break from the moving madness. Rusty has completed his 3 month TDY to DC, which gratefully allowed us time to do some house hunting and find a wonderful place to live for a year. Now the 2 of us can work on packing and cleaning the house in Ohio together. (Yeah! I finally have help in lifting, moving, and packing the boxes that we will move ourselves to DC. The Movers can do the rest.) Time goes by all too fast and it seems like just yesterday that Rusty was leaving for 3 months. I am very happy to have him home and of course, Lance & Einstein were overjoyed. Lance has not stopped following Rusty around the house, just making sure he is not going to leave again. Poor Lance, he will be very surprised next week when we move to DC. Just say a prayer for me next week when I take Lance, Einstien, Schrodinger, and Cinnamon on an 8 hour journey from Ohio to DC. Hopefully there will not be a pet mutiny in the car while I'm driving. So the countdown begins. Outprocess the base, get medical records, clean the house before the movers show up, separate the stuff we will move so the movers don't capture and pack it anyways, corral the animals, clean the house after the movers leave, get a moving trailer, and..... oh yeah, say goodbuy to some great friends from Ohio one last time. Did we forget anything? Hopefully not. On the other end, it is "spring cleaning" time and donate lots to Goodwill. Thus, one of the few benefits of frequent moves. More on our move as time goes by. Hopefully everything makes it to the other end in one piece.
